ITINERARY

DAY 1 ~ ARRIVE EDINBURGH
Arrive Edinburgh and after clearing customs and immigration take a taxi to Edinburgh city center and experience the city on a small group sightseeing tour. Evening to explore Edinburgh at your leisure.

DAY 2 ~ EDINBURGH TO STORNOWAY, HEBRIDES
Breakfast at the hotel followed by departure back to the airport for your morning flight from Edinburgh to Stornoway on the Hebrides. 

 

On arrival begin your exploration of Lewis including a visit to the Callanish Standing Stones before arriving in Tarbert for overnight.

DAY 3 ~ EXPLORING HARRIS WITH LOTS OF TIME FOR PHOTOGRAPHY
Today you explore the area of Harris, famous for its locally produced Harris Tweed and home to the Outer Hebrides’ highest mountains. See the beautiful white sands of Luskentyre and try a taste of gin at the Isle of Harris Distillery before returning to Tarbert with evening to relax.

DAY 4 ~ DAY AT LEISURE TO BIKE/HIKE AND EXPLORE
A full day to explore on foot or by ride the Hebridean Way by bike. Make it as leisurely or as challenging as you choose as you enjoy breathtaking ascents or dedicated Mountain Bike Trails.

DAY 5 ~ FERRY TO SKYE
Today you take the ferry from Tarbert to Uig on the Isle of Skye. On arrival in Uig you will be transported to Portree for check-in to your accommodation for overnight.
 

DAY 6 ~ SKYE EXPLORATION WITH LOTS OF TIME FOR PHOTOGRAPHY
Travel to the stunning Quiraing mountain pass and take a walk through some of Skye's extraordinary geological scenery. Visit the Kilt Rock, composed of basalt columns (reminiscent of the pleats in a kilt) with its waterfall cascading over the cliffs and down into the sea below. Following lunch travel to Neist Point and walk out to the
lighthouse at the most westerly point on Skye.

 

DAY 7 ~ FURTHER EXPLORATION OF SKYE

Free day to do some hiking on your own on some of the magnificent trails on the Isle of Skye. Walking optionswill be provided to such walks as the Point of Sleat depending o your preference for length and difficulty of walk.

DAY 8 ~  KAYAK ADVENTURE
This morning you have the chance to enjoy a kayaking adventure on the Isle of Skye exploring the beautiful Sleat Peninsula. Explore the wild coastline while looking for Seals, Otters, White Tiled Eagles and much more.

 

DAY 9 ~ SKYE TO EDINBURGH
This morning travel across by ferry from Armadale to Mallaig as you return to the mainland and your driver/guide will take you through Glenfinnan with its amazing viaduct (seen in the Harry Potter movies) and on through Fort William and the stunning mountains around Glencoe before arriving in Edinburgh for overnight.

DAY 10 ~ DEPART EDINBURGH
Depart Edinburgh on your return flight home.
